 | Dr Sam KaulRespiratory Physician Dr Sameer Kaul is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, specialising in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine. He commenced his basic physician training at Frankston Hospital and completed it at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. Dr Kaul acquired broad experience in all facets of internal medicine through placements across metropolitan, suburban, and rural hospitals, including Rosebud, Sandringham, Shepparton, and Mildura Base Hospital. He returned to The Alfred Hospital as Senior Medical Registrar, where he was heavily involved in the organisation of the physician training program, departmental research, audits, and supervision of junior medical staff. He then completed a further three years of specialist training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at The Alfred Hospital and Frankston Hospital. This included two years working in the Cystic Fibrosis and Lung Transplantation Unit. Dr Kaul is a current member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand and holds public appointments at Frankston Hospital and Rosebud Hospital. He is skilled in a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including flexible bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, and intercostal catheter insertion. His clinical interests include all facets of respiratory and sleep medicine, with particular focus on the management of chronic lung disease, assessment of lung nodules, and the cardiovascular effects of sleep disorders.
