Dr Arun is a highly regarded senior consultant cardiologist in the Mornington Peninsula region, bringing over 30 years of medical experience to his patients.

He completed his postgraduate medical degree in India before undertaking further cardiology training in the United Kingdom, achieving MRCP, and later completing advanced cardiology training at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne, attaining FRACP. He was appointed Consultant Cardiologist at Frankston Hospital in 2000 before commencing private practice.

Dr Arun brings in-depth clinical knowledge and strong diagnostic expertise, with significant experience in both general medicine and cardiology. He manages all types of cardiac conditions, including the investigation and treatment of coronary artery disease, heart failure, and cardiac rhythm disorders.

He has a particular specialisation in heart failure management and device implantation, including CRT devices, defibrillators, and pacemakers. He also provides and personally supervises stress ECG, stress echocardiography, echocardiography, and Holter monitoring services.

Dr Arun treats both public and private patients and provides advice and urgent consultations to general practitioners and other physicians. Patients incur no out-of-pocket expenses for in-patient procedures.

Dr Arun is a consultant in general cardiology with special interests in heart failure and device implantation for heart rhythm disorders and heart failure management.

He undertook advanced cardiology training at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne, and worked as a registrar in cardiology at South Cleveland Hospital, Middlesbrough, UK, and the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in Scotland before returning to Frankston to undertake his public appointment at Peninsula Health.

Dr Arun established his private practice at Peninsula Private Hospital and is well regarded for his management and care of patients in Frankston and surrounding communities.

Through extensive training and high-volume experience in device implantation in both the UK and Australia, Dr Arun has developed deep practical expertise in this field. He is particularly focused on optimal patient selection and safe implantation techniques to maximise patient outcomes and minimise complications. He actively shares this knowledge with colleagues and medical practitioners to improve patient care and awareness of advanced treatment options.
