Dr Elie Khoury is a specialist orthopaedic hip and knee surgeon with over 25 years of experience and is widely recognised as a revision arthroplasty expert, providing care for complex surgical cases and challenging orthopaedic conditions.

He consults at McCrae Specialist Centre and operates at Cabrini Hospital, Malvern, and The Avenue Hospital in Windsor. He has been a McCrae resident for over eight years and enjoys the peninsula lifestyle and strong connection to the local community.

Dr Khoury trained in Melbourne through the Orthopaedic Training Program and completed his fellowship in Oxford at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, specialising in hip and knee replacement surgery and sports medicine.

He is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, the Australian Arthroplasty Society, the Royal Australian College of Surgeons, The Girdlestone Orthopaedic Society (Oxford, UK), and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr Khoury holds the position of Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales and is a member of the Australian Academy of Surgical Educators, where he participates in senior teaching roles. He also serves as Chair of the Standards Australia Committee, advising on technical aspects of orthopaedic implants.

He is deeply committed to providing high-quality medical care and continually developing his surgical expertise both locally and internationally. His dedication to education enables him to maintain best practice standards, stay current with medical advancements, and remain at the forefront of evolving orthopaedic technology.

Dr Khoury is actively involved in global health initiatives and visits Honduras annually as part of The Surgical Outreach Program, where he serves as one of the lead surgeons. This program provides access to complex surgery in developing regions and delivers clinical training opportunities for local surgeons.

Outside of medicine, Dr Khoury is an advocate for overall wellbeing and enjoys staying fit, good coffee, fast cars, and supporting his beloved Tigers.
